Developing Black Men to become a more viable & respectable member of our families, community and society. Helping Black men step into their greatness is what we do!
To achieve our mission we must initiate, develop and promote prosperity in economically disadvantaged communities. We must help our Brothers resolve their issues with child support, debt, employment and the judiciary system. We must position black men to become the teachers, leaders and fathers necessary to establish their sons as their legacies.
Implementing a community development program that inspires a positive economic impact through "collective engagement" means creating an environment where young black boys can attain the type of education to restructure their lives as well as their families and communities:
• Develop fatherhood skills of responsibility, accountability and integrity.
• Develop solutions to resolve the child support issues that place our men in grave debt.
• Assist in the development of a new police-culture that doesn’t assume all black men are criminals.
• Create a business training environment to promote commerce and trade.
• Develop programs and initiatives to develop our youth.
• Teach Wealth Building skills to our youth, families and communities.
• Establish partnerships with the corporate community.
Is to bring Black men out of their “State of Invisibility” and help them become the most valuable asset domestically and internationally.
Further, we will incorporate these ideas in various projects that are designed to benefit our youth, our core population and our senior citizen population. Our efforts will be largely collaborations with existing organizations, businesses and government entities. It is this ‘Unity’ spirit of Umoja, which we are promoting and advocating throughout the community in an effort to be “part of the solution”.
